CONTRIBUTION DR. UMER CHAPRA (SCHOLAR ECONOMICS)

                

                     Dr. Umer Chapra is the one of Islamic e nomics figure, that we know.Chapra made seminal contributions to Islamic economics and finance over the past several decades. He has authored about about 11 books, other than that someone said he published about 16 books and monograph and more than 100 papers and book review about economics. Some of his books, have been translated into a number of language, including Arabic, Bangla, French, Indonesian, Malay, Japanese and the others. He has lectured widely at number of universities and professional institues in different countries around the world. The contribution of Dr Umer Chapra. 

                Dr Umer Chapra recently had received an awards because his have a lot of contribution for Islamic Economics one of the award received by him are received gold medal from the University of Sind for standing first in the High School Examination in 1950 among 25000 students. Awarded a gold medal from the Memon Educational and Welfare Society for being one of the five most outstanding scholars of the Society, and he received an award for being recognized as one of the ten most outstanding students of the Government College of Commerce and Economics, Karachi and he received the King Faisal International Award and Islamic Development Bank Award in 1989. 

                                The another contribution is the economic thought by Dr Umer Chapra . He said that the economic objective is to help people to complete the taskas servant of God on Earth. Firstly, weakness of capitalism, that the rich were in power determining prices and purchasing of goods, while poor cannot achieve their needs due to price expensive. Second thought, disadvantage socialism the individual ownership the state. 

                              Thirdly is the welfare state is the addiotional expenditure in public spending is not accompanied by a balance reduction in demand for resources will cause the budget deficit. He not only criticzed the above system but he also provides a solution to form a more just and stable. Then , he said “ Islamic Economics has effective tools and can solve economic problem of human life successfully”
